So, Jesus had the scrolls brought out, read from them something out of context to give them impression that Isaiah meant something he plainly didn't mean in your version?

Here's a Christian rant about how often the word "slave" in the original languages of the Bible has been mistranslated as "servant" in most English versions.

Why didn't Jesus just condemn slavery simply and clearly?
After all, he talks about it a few times without condemning it - in at least two parables, the slave-owner is clearly meant to stand for God - the Talents and the Unforgiving Slave.
